A Lovely Year of Finishes - June 2016 Finish!

Whew, I made it!!  I am linking up with Melissa at Sew Bitter Sweet Designs with a finish for June.  Even though I helped my daughter get her home ready for an overseas move (can you say Oahu!!) where the Army is sending her for the next three years, ran home for a week the went back to her house (only 5.5 hours away from me now) and got her, along with her cat and dog, to drive them to Reno, Nevada, where I'll be putting them on a plane (along with her hubby) on July 6.  I will miss her so much - I have enjoyed getting to pop over all the time!  I did get her Autograph Quilt from her wedding last August quilted, labeled and bound...ready for Hawaii!!!
I have better pictures, but right now I'm hating Windows 8 - I haven't a clue how to get pictures where I want them and how to retrieve them or edit them!  She took this picture of the quilt on her blow-up bed :)  I love that she is already using it!!

Did you have a finish this month?

FREE Hexie Template

I am NOT a fan of hand work (it hurts!), but I need to do some and decided hexies will work the best.  I didn't want to have to spend a bundle on hexie papers, so I did a little research (so easy to Google!) and found hexies that can be cut with a rotary cutter (yep, I'm gonna figure out how to do all the cutting with my rotary cutter), thanks to Sew Quickly.  If you are interested, hop on over and download the free templates to your computer...you never know when you are going to need them!!!  No pictures yet, but now you'll just have to wonder why I would need hexies!!

A Lovely Year of Finishes - June 2015

Well, I tried to put this on my list for a finish last November...failed miserably!!  However, I am under the gun with this quilt now since my daughter and her hubby are moving to Hawaii on July 7...do you think that it motivation enough to get this baby quilted, labeled and bound before they leave?  I obviously work better under pressure, so here goes!

I am linking up with Melissa at Sew Bitter Sweet Designs for the A Lovely Year of Finishes -- June Goal Party with my daughter's autograph quilt from her wedding last August.
I WILL get this quilt finished...I don't want to have to mail it to her!!!

How about you...are you up for finishing a UFO or WIP??
